With 28 additional contributors. I have purchased this book and read it few times over the last 5 years. I use it primarily as a text book to refer to for the RVS, RVT, RPVI exam. There has allot of books about vascular US since this book was written but none as authoritative or complete. If you are a practicing physician involved in the field of vascular US this book is a must. Some of the vascular technicians I worked with found it a great aid.

If you are studying for a vascular US exam this book is great but it is ot the only book you need as it doesn't cover vascular US physics in depth. This new 5th edition is an improvement on an already excellent text on vascular sonography. Some tests are heavy on very detailed, hard-to-grasp, very long-winded theory that seem to be aimed at physicists. Still others are intentionally simplistic in an attempt to convey the basic issues, while unfortunately, omitting so much you will need different text to fill in blanks. Introduction to Vascular Ultrasonography has the nearly perfect balance of detailed but understandable theory, and a wonderful library of excellent pictures and illustrations strategically placed in all the appropriate places.
